check system error??? help!

Hi guys,

Was driving my VE sv6 today and suddenly the engine illumination picture appeared on my dash and it said 'check system'. I pulled over... Turned the car off then started it again. Moments later it did the same thing except when I put load on the car or put my foot down slightly the car started to jerk like it was struggling. No unusual noises were made it just felt like it was struggling and developed that jerking feeling. Lucky I wasn't to far from home and came home real slow. Does any one have any ideas as to what this is or what is causing it and how I fix it?

did the light for check oil come on it think the system just turn car of and restart it should go back to normal

Could be a million things, you'll have to get the error code checked. Possibly bad fuel or fuel pump on the way out though based on the jerkiness.

Na no oil light came on.. Cheers anyway

Disconnect the negative lead from your battery for a minute then connect it again... Take it for a thrash and see if you can replicate the fault..

Thanks for that. Had it at dealers today. They reckoned 6th cylinder was misfiring due to shitty plug and a little bit of water present. Running smooooth as now!
