first gear drama's

Hey guy just got a 2011 ssv ute not even had first check up, and im have problems with first.
The problem is even just getting it into gear then other times it feels like it clicks in in but just crunchs the gear as soon as i put load on it?
Occasiolly pops out of gear aswell when it just been put in befor take off.

Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem

Haven't had it happen but the only thing you can do is take it back to Holden and replicate the fault....sounds like it's not fully engaging for it to pop out...could be the clutch but you would have problems with all the gears than so take it back before your first check up as that's not normal

mine occasionally does the same. although mines 07 model. first sometimes takes a couple of trys, so does reverse. im used to it now though. try releasing and pushing the clutch back in. seeing as though its 2011 model id be taking it straight back...!

I've got the same problem, 1st feels like its engaged and then when I go to take off it slips and you can hear the teeth grinding it really loudly. I just always make sure to push it in as far as I can, sometimes it's easy and others you need to be a bit more forceful. I'd definitely say it points towards a synchro issue but I'll just keep monitoring it for now. Mines a 2009 SSV.

My 2011 Maloo does this aswell :-s I'm pretty much used to it now tho, can feel when it's not gone in properly. But still really annoys me as its brand new and a 70k car!
