Just been looking at a few maloo's, even though i cant drive one for 2 more years, just looking around, an just asking on peoples opinions if auto or manual would be the way to go, like i know manual would be fun as cause i hate auto lol, but thought i would just ask
If you are young, you will want a manual, as you aint a man unless you have a manual
A well tuned auto will beat a manual any day IMHO. But then I am an old fart![]()
Well make that decision when it's time to buy one. It comes down to what you prefer.

It's not so much about being a man and having a manual - for me it's more about auto boxes pissing me off. Very few are any good for driving, rather than commuting - only some DSG boxes would be worth it in my opinion. Newer VW and Audi DSGs are quite good, for instance. But then so are the VW manual boxes, so it's still a tough decision. The ZF auto in Falcon and most Jags is ok too - but I'd still pick a manual Falcon. It really comes down to the gearbox in question - for my money, T56 holden uses isn't great by any stretch - but it's better than the auto. The TR6060 in E2+ HSV range is much nicer than the (still) average auto. If Holden brought out a slick-shifting and intelligent DSG box, then I might be tempted - But until then, I'll be sticking with three pedals and a stick.
If you ask Holden, they tell you their 6 speed auto is "the shit". There are actually too many words in the description.....
HIDs.....LEDs..... DRLs..... CHEV Badges..... ->
I bought an auto (SSV ute) because I sit in peak hour traffic for an hour or so a day and didn't want the clutch in
clutch out repeat all the way in etc.
Still about twice a week I wish i had of got the manual - for the fun.
My philosophy is - if it hasn't got three pedals, it isn't a real car.
Same with a Driver's Licence - if you haven't got a manual licence, you haven't really got a licence at all.
