Pretty sure Kuzman has the first one, he seems happy with it, but double check with him.

I would think that steel intake pipe would get awfully warm.

Hey man, got your pm. The airhammer comes with a better filter that you won't need to replace, so I'd stick with that even though the other one is cheaper.

As for warming, yeah it does get warm, but also cools faster, I fitted a heatshield around mine where it sits near the radiator to stop heatsoak. So that fixed the problem. Personally if I was doing it again, I'd buy the airhammer. Normally they will do it cheaper if you offer to pickup without buying over ebay as well.

Difference is the pipe from the engine to the maf is slightly different, as the V8's are longer. Doubt it would fit, but might be wrong.

Originally I had the airhammer (with heatshield at filter zone), performance was good. But the intake tube that connects to thottle body cracked under the clamp (may be it was me had overtightened ... not sure!!). I ended getting the Aluminum tubes from this ebayer (originalpartsgroup) to replace, they're very similar to bends of the airhammer, just in Aluminum.

For filter, I am using AEM dry filter since day1 ... I no fan of oiled filters (airhammer came with AFE oiled filter in package ... sold it).

On a second note, my friend is local HKS distributor and the otherday they were discussing about plastic vs. aluminum intake, and argument weighed to aluminum as winner. Light, yet stronger, while intake air transite time is much short to worry about heat transfere (per his say). I personnaly found no much difference plastic or aluminum in duct temperatures after 20-30mi drives.
