crackle & pop

Does having a car tuned to have a bit of crackle and pop on an overrun have a direct impact on throttle response?

Reason I ask is my car has developed a little bit of the described symptoms when acceleration is followed by a bit of coasting, then back on the gas. Before it accelerates the exhaust has a few pops then your away. I'm talking a second at most.

Is this running to rich?

To my knowledge the crackle and pop is caused by having the decel mix a bit rich...

Mine cracked and popped lots when I put my exhaust on like how you described and just through changing gears but when I got my tune it toned it down still does a little bit but not as loud
