Default VE GTS hard to start after long drives (one hour plus)?

My GTS has all the mods you see in my signature below and lately it's been hard to start after long drives. It has dual fuel and was thinking the petrol pump might have started to let go but the other day a mechanic told me (he didn't want to touch it because its been tuned) the car might be searching for the MAF sensor (as its had a MAFLESS tune), any ideas before I take it back to the tuners?
    Cheers Pat.

Yep it's got a cold air intake. It cranks for 5 seconds then fires over but on short trips it's fine, haven't checked for codes the mechanic said to just take it back to the tuner he didn't want to touch it.

Car only starts on petrol then 50 seconds later switches to gas.

How did you go with this?
mines done it from day one with JTG and i have a cam in mine. cranks for a bit then fires. only happens intermintantly though. as you said mostly off a long run, let it sit for a bit then try and start it. been to other tuners and no joy, also have dual tables enabled didn't make a difference. no big issue just really wanted to know what it was.

On longer trips, the fuel in the rail could be getting hot and vaporising out of the line, so when you go to start it there's no fuel in the rail and the pump has to fill it again before it'll fire. Try cycling the key a few times before starting next time and see if it makes a difference.

May depend on the gas system, a good system should switch off the fuel pump while on gas.
