2006 ve ssv sat nav issues

just bought a 2006 ve ssv. didnt even notice that it had sat nav untill i got it home.
when i press the sat nav button it comes up with the warning screen saying to "watch the road blah blah blah" then i press okay to
get past it and nothing happens. it just stays on that screen.
has anyone had this issues???
it came with the case for the map CD. its whereis V13. theres no CD in the case so im assuming its in use.
does the CD just load into the stacker or is there a separate module it goes into???

Th sat nav module is in the Glove Compartment.
Hopefully the DVD is in sat nav module s well.

If you are getting that mesage, then that s a good sign, as it means the Sat Nav module, and the GMLAN - Sat Nav modules are connected and working.

turns out the previous owner loaded an aftermarket sat nav program onto it which requires a remote.
the remote was not supplied with the car.
