An L77 will have all the DOD lifters and such, same as L76 (L98 is no more for holden) - but AFM won't be supported by your car, so should be fine. From memory though, and I can't recall why I think this - if you're fitting an L77 to car that was build to have an L98 (like your 2007) you need to swap the cam to an L98 cam - or tune the car to suit the L77. When holden do a motor swap, they retain the older cams.

When Holden do an engine swap they use the same model engine

I havent heard of this but it doesnt mean its not true.

If you change your engine to one with different valve timing the ECU will not know this and the engine wont run too well as the ignition timing wont match the cam.

^^^ was a holden tech who told me this.

Can't recall the exact reason for the cam swap though.
