    Unhappy VE aircon problem.

Hey there, I just bought a 07 VE SS Ute a few months ago for work. I've had no problems with it until the aircon starting playing up. I just had it serviced for the 90k log book service and after a week or so the temp of the aircon started to get warmer and warmer. So after doing some research on here someone sugguested to hold the demist button in for 10 seconds and the unit will reset itself and fix itself......
Well thats not what happened.... since resetting it all it will do is blow hot air out at the screen and thats it!! You cannot change anything......
I can't get it into the workshop that serviced it or Holden until after Xmas...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Air-cons being air-cons, they like to go into politics after a while, and hence, they blow "hot air"
If, as mentioned above hasn't happened, check if the clutch is kicking in, if not, it's probably out of gas
I've never been poor, just broke

Could be the HVAC module not communicating. Mine crapped itself and had to be reset with a tech 2. Not sure if pulling the battery would do the same job though.

Yer that makes sense... what did you end up paying to get that fixed? Did you have to get that done thru Holden? Cheers

Nothing.. the module crapped itself while holden replaced the driver's seat the first time under warranty (long story, not important) - when they plugged everything back in and gave me back the keys, the AC was unresponsive - took them about 20 minutes to figure out that the module wasn't communicating and, fortunately, resetting it worked. Otherwise it was a new module.

When u push the AC button can you hear the compressor click on?

When u push and hold the demist button can you hear the actuators moving (have radio off and all doors and windows closed as they are fairly quiet)

Not clicking on is generally due to low refridgerant level..
