Hi everyone,
I've got a MY06 VE (Alloytec) and it sounds like the thermo (radiator?) fan is really loud - this only happens if I have the A/C on. The temperature guage is working fine, and I don't see a visible difference between having the A/C on or off when I've been watching it. There's plenty of coolant, and it had a service maybe 2,000ks ago (but I've checked oil, power steering, brake fluid and they're fine) - I mentioned these to the mechanic last time I had it serviced but he didn't see anything wrong, but did say they're a bit loud.
I've checked the fuses, or at least the ones I can check - I don't know how to see if the larger, bulky fuses are blown - and can't think of anything else to look at.
Is it just something I'm stuck with?
Cheers!
The fan coming on has nothing to do with your engine temperature in this case it is cooling your A/C condenser, all thermos are reasonably loud as they move a large amount of air.
