Default VE Series 2 Ute audio upgrade

Ok for all you ute owners out there with the series 2 IQ system after a lot of research and trying to find a good option for a sub and audio upgrade in the ute i finally found a set up thanks to SSV in Keilor Park.
I went down there and told them what i wanted with a proper sub and they hooked me up with the new slim Alpine type R sub Which is 1000w full 12 inch sub (not a shit sounding slim sub )which comes in a sealed sexy low profile alpine box which is mounted behind the drivers seat above the jack flap with full access to the jack and full adjustment of seat.

Topped off with alpine type R splits which are also the new series with a small magnet and a alpine PDX-5 1200W 5 Chanel amp the Sound is amazing.

Just thought il put it out there as i was searching for a good option and i am very happy with this set up even after having a pumping system is my VY SS Seadan the quality and clarity of sound out of splits and a sub in the ute is amazing.

I will put some pics up if anyway wants to see them

Credit to SSV very happy with the workman ship and quality of work.

Sounds good, whilst I'm no audio buff, I ended up going german maestro splits (MIG), a 5 channel kicker amp and a cadence sub. I listen to alot of powermetal/hard rock sorta stuff so almost decided on not getting a sub, but went with one anyway. The german made speakers have amazing clarity, probs not suited to other styles as much, ive heard the alpine r's are fairly awesome though.

That would all work with a series one ute too. People have been doing it for ages!

All up it came out to $1600 which was good seeing the retail price of the alpine gear i rang around alot and price was all over the between $1500 to $3000 for the same kind of set up with different brands the walkinshaw Rockford fosgate was the most coming in at $3500 all in all the alpine sounds great very happy with it.

And VTSS350 it would work in the series one ute to i was more just mentioning the sub box and how it all fits as alot of people make a pretty cave man style box that takes up half the ute or a shit slim line that sounds shit.

Bloody hell, I sourced all my gear from europe or america and spent about $700 inc postage, do yourselves a favour and shop online. The german speakers themselves sell here for about $600 which is a massive rip off when you can get them overseas for 155 euro lol
