Series 2 thunder bcm
Just a quick question fr you guys, has anyone had an issue with there bcm?
My mate has had his ss thunder for 7 months now and the cars has been to Holden 23 times and they keep saying the iq system has a fault that they can't fix, they have replaced the dash harness, iq system and even tried updating the software which the car rejects
But the issue with the car is most things electrical in the car go haywire every now and then.. For eg digital speedo reads 100 but needle says 150.. Press the window switch down but it does nothing then press it up Nd it goes down and the air con controls have a tantrum and keep changing temp and what not. Which sounds like a bcm but Holden won't even consider it.

i'd just march in there and say fix it within a week or give me a new one, thats pretty bad to have been back in 23 times in 7 months....thats what the warranty is for!

That's totally unacceptable.
If I were him, I would start with the dealer principal at the dealership he bought the car through, then step it up to Holden Head Office if no quick resolution.
I hope he is getting a free loan car each time they have the car

Told him to go in there and tell them The bcm is stuffed and to have a look at it and look at the service history to see that fixing the iq system is no help.
It's bad the techs haven't even looked at the bcm =S
didn't they just bring in the new "lemon laws" at the start of the year where they have to replace your vehicle with a new one if problem cannot be fixed or if your constantly (like you said 23 times) bringing it in to be repaired?
is that sarcasm ahaha cause that is an awesome idea!
found out that if a bcm goes the symptoms arnt that bad.. mainly the blinkers are affected or something
a guy i was talking to just said the car has one f*cked up problem lol

no im serious about the "lemon laws" i read it in cars guide the pollies were debating whether or not to introduce "lemon laws" similar to the USA but I dont know if they did or not? maybe someone else might know. I was spewing because I purchased my car before they were going to introduce it so I wouldn't be eligible
