Can anyone tell me how to re set the radio security after I have dissconnected the battery?
You would need the secutity code for it to work.

Dealer can help you, but you could try the last 4 digits of the cars VIN. Works on some car radios, not sure on a VE though
Current Ride: 2011 VE Sedan - In Voodoo of course.
Last Ride: 2004 Subaru Liberty GT, Twin scroll turbo, tuned, Bilsteins, sway bars, no rice, 420Nm

radio security code is on a plastic credit card type thing called "important security info" you get when you purchase your car.
it also has your ignition key number and your glove box key number aswell as your VIN & engine number.
the Holden website says you can get your security code for a nominal fee at a dealership you just have to show them proof of ownership
VEs dont have a radio code, they are linked to each other and dont require a password. Only time you will have issues is moving parts to another vehicle.
Silver Certified.
cheers ricey didn't know that. do you know what that security code number is for then? is that if you are changing radio over to another car like you said above
checked manual pg22 all it says is security card lists various numbers for vehicle incl. key numbers but doesn't say what security code is for? im assuming for its for radio or iq system?
just read a bit further down page security code is for replacement keys
