Hi all,
I am going to put in FE2 in my Calais V... the current FE1.5 is average. I've asked Holden to do me a quote on upgrading it (got a bloke who gets me cheap prices) and anyway, they reckon all I need to upgrade is the springs and shocks.
I was under the assumption that FE2 also had stiffer stabiliser bar etc.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I just want the bloody thing to have FE2 and feel like it got FE2 from factory, regardless of what needs to be changed.
Thanks
Ben
As far as I'm aware the only difference is springs and shocks. Was told by a couple of mates who used to work at Holden back when I was thinking of upgrading my VZ Calais.
No worries mate,
Might just go ahead and see how it goes. Definitely needs it, NEEDS better handling (driven a mates Calais with FE2 and loved it)
Cheers
Ben
as far as i know. calais v come with FE2 to start with...
Nah, only pre MY08 ones. It was FE2 and then all the do gooders whinged about the rough (they called it rough) ride so Holden put FE1.5 in there. FE1.5 is OK but nothing like FE2. It was actually pretty good in the VY, but yeah they've made it too sloppy for the VE
concur, my 07 calais v has FE2 as std. sits and rides different to my vz calais that had FE2 as well. vz was like a go cart compared to the ve.
Better off getting aftermarket suspension, probably cheaper too.
Silver Certified.
pfft. people sell them all teh time for $50.
