hi guys i just got a set of lowered springs for my omega superlows for the rear and ultralows for the front. I want to buy a set of lowered shocks b4 i install them. I just want to know what u think are best suited to these springs and wont just #### out. I put monroe gt shocks in my VT but i really wasnt happy with them so im going to stear clear of them this time round
In terms of a basic street shock (nothing competition or ridiculously expensive) KYB is very hard to go past, $135 each for the front, and $105 each for the rear in shortened! About $15 shipping to Nowra.
Alternatively, "the best" would be Bilstein, $350 each for the front, and $309 each for the rear.

I am extremely happy with my Koni's but haven't experienced any others on a VE. The Koni's are also adjustable (the rears have to be removed to do this though)
Many people seem to comment that the Monroe's are excellent value too.
Yeah like i said i've got monroe's in my vt and i would'nt get them again. i no this is a dumb question but is there any way to make it less bumpy wit lowered springs. ive been looking at the KYB shocks and are they all shortend i just cant find any that say shortend on ebay
Most definitely. Fit a shock that's capable of controlling the spring it's fitted to. Lowered springs require higher spring rates to compensate for the lack of travel, so any half decent higher rated shock (ala Bilstein/Koni, and to a lesser extend, the shortened KYB).
Nope they're not all shortened, need the dedicated shortened ones.ive been looking at the KYB shocks and are they all shortend i just cant find any that say shortend on ebay
Both very similar in terms of quality and performance. KYB typically sit slightly more towards sport whilst the Boge sit slightly more towards comfort. Boge are a bit cheaper though, $125 each for the front, and $75 each for the rear.

How much for the GT Monroe shocks front and rear? It is for a VE Berlina with super lows front and rear.
How do the Monroe shocks compare to Boge's and KYB?
We try to stay away from Monroe where possible. We can order it in, but don't keep Monroe pricing on file...
The GT Sport would be roughly equivalent to KYB, but the KYB is probably slightly better in terms of quality. If it's the GT Gas, then there's no comparison... chalk and cheese with A LOT of daylight between KYB/Boge and GT Gas!How do the Monroe shocks compare to Boge's and KYB?

Hey buddy
Sorry for bumping this thread up. But i would like to know which route did you end up going with?
I am running stock FE2 shocks on my 08 Lumina SS, and lowered with Kings Fronts: KHFL-150SSL, and Rears: KHRL-152SL.
I am seeking comforts / good street performance. I find the stock FE2 shocks kinda harsh when lowered.
Any input is appreciated
thank you
