Does anyone know how to disable the stupid safety start switch on the clutch? So annoying not being able to start without pushing clutch in...
I had that in a Hyundai company car 15 years ago. I just wired the two cables together that fed the switch up in the pedal box. Problem solved, but not sure if it's that simple in a VE.
Current Ride: 2011 VE Sedan - In Voodoo of course.
Last Ride: 2004 Subaru Liberty GT, Twin scroll turbo, tuned, Bilsteins, sway bars, no rice, 420Nm
Also Own: 1964 EH Wagon, modified interior, minor modifications outside
Ok have to try and climb in there and have a look what the set up is. Thanks

Has he done something? Has something been changed?
in the tune it can be turned of for a VE (but shouldnt as is in there for safety)
can do anything with wires as it is a 3 wire potentiometer in the later VE's (earlier S1 07's had 2 switches)
We play with all the good toys - LS1 LS2 L76 L98 LS3
Where would I go to have the safety switch disabled? Local auto electrician?

Aftermarket tuner.
Silver Certified.
I know a bloke that tried this on a 6l vz, got it to start without pressing the clutch, but would sit on the rev limiter if he clutched it with the cruise on. I carn't see the problem with it, i've always had manuals and have always press the clutch in before startup force of habit i suppose.
Cheers.

I always depress the clutch when I'm sitting in the car, but often during Summer in QLD I start the car to let the air-conditioning cool down before setting off. That's why it's helpful here.
