Hey all so both sets of keys were stolen ( no they were not sitting on the bench and were both in completly different spots) any way long story short is when I realized I was broken into I checked my car they didnt take it but they had unlocked it so I removed fuses and battery locked it from the inside and climbed out the boot. The car was tilted to Holden. They are replacing the bmc new keys and barrels.
The car is tuned and has a cam in it. just wondering will there be any side affects with not having the battery in it for so long like electrically
Cheers Nathan
Are k so your saying having the battery out is better then having a battery left in there to go flat?
Yea, exactly what Wongy said. You shall not have any issues if you didn't have a battery in for the period of time the car was on a stand still. If you did have the battery in and did not move it/drive it, Yea, You'd be shitting bricks.
I still dont get why they didn't take your car?
That's good to hear : ). Yeah got me stuffed they only took enough for one person to carry and probly already had a car. Or they were that dumb and didn't realize they had to have there foot on the clutch.
Certainly not. It's common knowledge.
With all the numbers (rego/VIN) you can pull off a car, it's too easy to check it againsy databases.
Same thing happened to me. Lost 2 DVD players, a laptop and my mother's old engagement ring.
The fact that M*A*S*H season 3 was in one of the DVD players pissed me off the most.
Sent from my Galaxy SII.
You wouldn't be from the Orange area would you? That's what the natives around here do, they rob your house and then come back a few nights later and take the car with your own keys.
