I'm currently with NRMA and the renewal is here and they want $1134 or $106 a month.
The buzz insurance have online quoted me $830 annually!
when i had my 08sv6 ute, with allianz it was from memory $734 including tool insurance, and with my wagon it $620 with windscreen option, utes are higher as the insurance mobs class them being on the road more often.
The Mad Dutchman
Are you over 25? If so ring Shannon's they are by far the best in my opinion
I'm 25 and did a quote with Shannon's and they were $1700
This is for a 2010 sv6
I am through Shannon's mate, looking at about $940 a year. But i am an old bugger as well Lol.
2010 SS.
They are good with any mods done to your car as well, providing they are within acceptable limits.
Cheers mate.
Mike
I just rang around today Im 35 and
NRMA 555 or with windscreen protection 616
AAMI 854
QBE 854
GIO 1100
wow and i thought turning 25 would bring it down to respectable levels.
obviously not!
Have you tried Youi I'm 19 n I pay $105 a month and I'm insured for all the modification's I've done on my car.

I previously had a 2010 ssv redline ute and was paying $960 per year through nrma I'm 26.. Thought that was great
My 2011 ssv redline wagon is only bit over $600/month both are with windscreen cover and a listed driver under 25 (my wife)

VZ SS through CGU full comp with hire car, windscreen, hotel if more than 150km from home only $810 with $400 excess.
thats a huge difference mate... you sure NRMA quoted "agreed value" and not "market value"?
I'm with AAMI... and whilst I hate having to generate new quotes every year online because their 'auto renewal' prices are a joke, I find they are far cheaper than the rest on a regular basis.
(full no claim bonus, older adult, no priors etc)
2008 ssv ute, cam, lowered, Otr, tune, etc all listed on policy, agreed value of 47k, $1200 with aami. I'm 34. Shannon's wanted $1600 and would only insure for market value
I tried a real insurance quote, but they said they couldn't insure me as the car is lowered
Mate Im with just car, turned 25 last year and the rates dropped considerably, down to $960. Thats pretty good for a late model V8 considering I was paying $1300 the year before for my VX Calais L67...
Nrma, about 1200 annually insured for close to 30k and I'm only 24.
Are you saying that you'd insure your car with an insurer that doesn't insure your mods to pay less?
I'm sure if that were the case it'd be an interesting experience for you if you had to claim against that policy?
AAMI is VERY V8 friendly and young bloke friendly I had a VT 5.7 at 20 I'm 22 and now have a VE SS and it's 98 a month a believe where NRMA wasn't 206 a month!!
Just car is AAMI, and theyre cheaper, I dont see what anyone has against them?? Theyre gunna put up less of a fight for a modified cars claim than a company who seems "more reputable" but doesnt cover modifications....
$1200 through AAMI, the car is a 2011 SS Thunder insurance covers all accessories and i'm 20. insured for 50k
