I understand that you are worried about your new car, but if it's causing this much concern don't do anything to it until its out of warranty.

I have a late 2011 SSV and have started to mod it. I figure if you want it just get it.

Cat back, OTR, MAFless tune, suspension and Brakes have all been changed, still even more stuff is coming out and going in.

End of the day don what you want

Well providing a mafless tune is worth it and is noticeable then I'll do it.

Agree, MAF MAFless it's up to you.
Until you carry out mods that require you to go MAFless then keep the MAF for now, if you go down that path you will need a retune anyway so get it done then. Either way tuning your car will make a difference without an OTR, without any other mod.

I'm going to have to go mafless because I have OTR now and I'm getting engine lights so best to mafless tune it I think I have a local guy but he only mafless tunes he doesn't do tunes where the maf is retained..

Not much choice in Orange? What are they charging for the tune, have they told you what to expect form the tune?

You will certainly know the difference once you get it done. Just make sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Bad tunes can blow motors.

I get the impression he knows what he's doing it's Mr HDT in dubbo NSW he's been around for a while. He's got a blue VK that I've seen at a few car shows, summernats etc amongst other cars he's builds engines etc.. I'm really torn on what to do not sure what way to go. Mainly because a tune is risky when you ask yourself how do I know it's a safe tune.

It's 1500 dollars with a VCM OTR he does all the fitting. Or I think 900-1000 without intake And I use my orssom intake.

lol, mate you're all over the place. You've got another thread going saying you're going with oztrack now with a duspeed intake??
My advice is to step back and think about it a bit more. It seems you're having awful trouble making up your mind and take it from me, you only want to spend this money once so make sure you're clear on what and who you want to touch your car.
Shoot me a pm if you want, i've used a couple of tuners so if you have any Q's just ask.

Everyone will have an opinion on which OTR and which tuner will deliver the best result, at the end of the day they are all very similar in concept and application.

Your splitting hairs over it, pick the one you think, based on the information you have that will best suit your driving style and any future mods you are thinking of.

VCM, Duspeed, Orssom a little difference here and there but not much between them, MAF or Mafless if this is the only mod your doing then practically no difference again.

All have positives all have negatives, at the end of the day it's your car, your cash and your time so it's your call.

Post the results when it's all done.

A lot of members have these mods listed and the results they have gained from them in "Show off your ride"

Almost every possible combination of bolt on's and tuners suspension brakes you name it, it's probably been done.

If you decide to make and other changes to your car, have a look there and see what other people have done.

You can't keep the MAF with the Duspeed...
