So I'm wanting setup my iPhone with DashCommand, and I think I've got it worked out but I just want to make sure. My car is the alloytec SV6 and I've had a look around and found this:
App Store - DashCommand - OBD-II gauge dashboards, scan tool, and vehicle diagnostics
and
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d
Are there any cheaper or better performing devices? Will it be just plug in and play or is there some configuration needed that I should be aware of?
Any comments are appreciated
There might be cheaper, but if this is the route you are choosing, then the PLX wi-fi device is by far the best of the lot
And dash command is great software
If you want to save a bit of $$$ and your a little techie and you have a iPhone 4 or below (because iPhone 4s jailbreak is not out yet but should be soon) you could use this software
roqyBluetooth
with a bluetooth OBD2 reader (much cheaper than wifi) and you would be sweet.
Check out my VE Commodore My Omega Mods
I have the Torque app on my samsung galaxy s2 phone linked via bluetooth to an OBDII module and works a treat. So many different guages you can add.
To the people that are using bluetooth, has anyone experienced delay problems? I read that wifi was better because it had a quicker response time. Is that true?
