Smile 2009 HSV R8 Aircon fault

I have bought a HSV Clubsport Series 2 and the Aircon slowly gets hotter the further you drive also there dosen't seem to be enough air comming through to the back sets, has there been anyone else that has heard of a simmilar problem with the Clubsports.

If the Aircon is slowly getting hotter it may have a leak somewhere and need re-gassing.

This was done before I bought it in Darwin and a die was added to see the leak however their isn't one. If their was one it wouldn't get cold at all, this aircon starts out freezing then slowly gets hotter over 30-45 min of driving. I'm thinking it is either the compressor as it starts to get ratly or one of the three sensors placed around the inside and outside of the vehicle.

Have you tried taking it off auto and running it on manual flat out? Just an idea? Could be the compressor you said you bought it in Darwin? Cars up there wouldn't ever have air con off haha so maybe it's a little tired?

Does the pressure from the vents slowly decrease till barely any air comes out?

Sounds like the system is icing up. Next time it happens park the car up and turn it off and see if theres a heap of water under the car after about half an hour.

Yeah just got of the phone to holden and icing up seams to be the general concensus, thanks brother their is a a large amount of water coming from the A/C even for a fairly humid area. Having it looked at friday will fill every one in.

Just got back from holden here in Cairns (bloody hopeless), according to them the system needed regasing and a die put in the gas to detect the leak. This was all done by Holden in Darwin when I bought the Clubby, so it will be to play there game and keep taking it back until they are sick of the sight of me, because what they have done won't fix the problem. Also the air leaking past the demister vent onto the windscreen is apparently normal when it is not selected, never had this problem with my VZ SV6.

Have you done a vent relearn?

Ign on press and hold the rear demister button till you hear the vents start moving. This ensures they are all opening and closing fully.

you may have tx value blocking up, you really need to put ac gauges on it when it is playing up.
