Ok guys here goes did a heap of searching over last few days but am unable to find a clear answer.
I have nearly completed my boot install in the r8. Now I need to wire my monoblock in easy done apart from the power signal. now I've done it before in my ve ute. I wired the signal into the plug underneath the headunit. I don't really want to run wires through the whole car to get to this plug .
So does anyone know of an ignition power source in or near the boot area?
Thanks Luke
The closest one i found was the one used for the smokers pack. It is located behind the rear coin tray. search this forum for smokers pack and you will see what I mean.

Ok guys just an update on this one. Checked the little fuse box above the battery and found a signal wire for the factory Holden amp there. So it's all wired in now and works a treat.

I had a amp/sub installed and couldn't get a power source in the boot.
Everyone kept saying you'll have to go to the front. That just sounded like hard work.
Anyway, over the holidays, I ripped out the rear seat, pulled off the trim near the doors and over the seat rails, then pulled out the glovebox. Took an hour tops. Then, I ran the wire and found an ignition source up behind the trim below the 'a' pillar. Put it all back together and done in maybe two hours tops.
Thinking of doing it again to run the cord for the volume control
