Default VE SV6 computer stability bullsh*%

    Hello

What type of Stability management, traction control etc etc etc all the computer jargon does the VE SV6 have??

Will it, stock allow the driver to intentionally loose traction on a designated traction loss area?? (private race track)

    Thanks, that is all

Haha in simple terms. Hey guys I wanna do a burnout. Can I? Short answer no from memory they have an abuse mode which detects when you have high airflow and no real forward momentum. Something complicated like that.

Don't you just press the traction control button...?

Unless I'm not understanding your question?

Sure? Cause i heard that traction off still wont allow it.. unless im wrong..

If there IS airflow monitor, couldnt i bypass the sensor with simple switch so it wont know whats goin on?

"designated traction loss area"...that is gold Obstacles to traction loss other than the button might include things like bus stops and light polls.

    Hahahah

The bus stops and light poles arent a problem in my designated traction loss areas. For real..

But i dont beleive that the VE's cant pull a burnout?? say alll the electronic crap is DEAD and its just old fashion engine, running gear, wheels.. then is it physically possible for a True manual to pop one?

If all the electronics is dead, then the car isnt going anywhere.

I've seen my work colleague rip a skid at the lights, and skate it through all of first gear.

    This button turns it off.

Mine does great skids. Give it a belt in first, second then third and watch the fog cloud out the back.

I regularly use my ve on a skid pan with the traction control off. Never had it kick back in by itself. Including when doing a burn out from a puddle of water. Haven't tried it on dry road, but I can't see how it'd be any different.

    Fuel Cutoff Mode
The engine control module (ECM) cuts OFF fuel from the fuel injectors when the following conditions are met in order to protect the powertrain from damage and improve driveability:

    • The ignition is OFF. This prevents engine run-on.
    • The ignition is ON, but there is no ignition reference signal. This prevents flooding or backfiring.
    • The engine speed is too high, above the red line.
    • The vehicle speed is too high, above rated tire speed.
    • During an extended, high speed, closed throttle coast down, this reduces emissions and increases engine braking.
    • During extended deceleration, in order to prevent damage to the catalytic converters.
The torque management enabled—Transmission shifts or abusive maneuvers.
    • The traction control enabled—In conjunction with the front brakes applying

You can do big skids but for sustained wheelspin (a burnout) and with the brake pedal depressed it cuts off the fuel and spoils the fun. Let go of the stoppers however and you'll leave some nice big licorice straps behind you.

Ok so basically, after talking to a mate who is an VE SV6 owner, and Wongy's confirmation. they do burnouts.. just as i thought.

There is ALOT of misleading evidence on the interwebz

Also, simple instead of messing around with the manufacture's electronic wires.Red, blue red etc. wires are complicated.

Go to the mechanics, if there is a fuel cut off valve. then i have to locate it, and plumb it to bypass when it engauges at the flick of my custom fitted solenoid valve. if you understand.

So i could connect the switch wires from my bypassed solenoid valve to the Traction controll button off. So when i press traction off, the traction or watever is off, also my fuel cutoff is avoided. so during TC off, fuel will always flow. and with TC on, the fuel will cutoff, like normal.

Is there ANY other features connected to the torque management thing that stops the fun..

Fuel cutoff is via injectors so that wont work.

And bypassing fuel cutoff will allow the engine to over rev possibly resulting in engine failure.

Not sure how it works, I had torque management turned off when my car was tuned and cant remember if I ever tried to smoke the tyres prior to that...

I think it depends how brutal you are as to whether fuel is cut or not.
