VE II SS Thunder Ute - Speedo way out & GPS alert distance seems really short

Hi all - just new on here - just picked up an 8 month old Thunder today. I noticed on the way home the speedo seemed to be reading high, so grabbed the Garmin GPS out of my other car to check. Found that when the speedo is showing 100 the GPS was showing just over 80 so it is way over the usual 3-5%. Has any one else found their speedo out this far.

Also noticed that the alert for speed cameras and red lights etc seems really short - maybe 100-150m from the actual Camera etc. Happened 7 or 8 times so it is not a one off. Is there any way to adjust the alert disatance to give you more warning?

Yes they are standard Thunder wheels and tyres.

Has the diff ratio been changed?

No mate - all standard.

May have the wrong calibration is the ECU in regards to wheel/tyre size but even that wouldnt cause the speedo to be out so much.

Be worth taking it to the dealer as its under warranty and wont cost you anything.
