Hi all, have never had this issue b4 this morning, the car has been locked for a week and I just opened the boot with remote and left the boot open 5 mins and the alarm started going off.. so I opened the doors and since then the door ajar light stays continually on even though all the doors are definitely closed.. and the interior lights do not illuminate now when there is a door open even when I press the button on the roof.
When I have closed all doors and hit the lock button on the key, the horn beeps 5 times and the security light in the instrument cluster flashes twice per second and the door ajar light stays on for 30 seconds, then the door ajar light goes off and the car stays locked with security light flashing once per 2 seconds as normal. When I unlock the car again the door ajar light is on once again. Anyone have any ideas? Car is out of warranty.
Boot shut properly? Does the car start or is the battery flat?

As far as I know, the interior lights only come on if it's dark - basically if the ambient light sensor (middle of dash near windscreen) would turn on the headlights, then the interior lights also come on. There is a timeout if a door is left open for a while, interior lights do turn off.
My only suggestion at this stage, if it was me, would be to shut all the doors and pull the battery for a minute or so then reconnect it. The car may crack the sads with the boot open and the alarm may go off, but disarming it isn't hardThen, go through the process you've tried above and see if it's still playing up. It may be a sensor (inside one of the door pillars???) that detects if a door is open. If one of those has flaked, might explain all the nonsense above. That would also be why the interior lights stay off if it thinks the door is still open.
Thanks for the replies. Boot is shut properly & the battery is good, I took it for a drive too just to be sure, door ajar light stayed on the whole time. I have opened and closed all doors a few times each, seems strange how it was fine before.
But I'll try disconnecting the battery for a few mins & see how I go!
Another bizarre twist, while it was still locked I opened the boot to disconnect the battery but before I disconnected it I unlocked the doors, jumped in and closed the door and the door ajar light went off... so it appears that everything has gone back to normal! I'm not sure if the computer seems to have thought it was tricked by opening the boot first then opening the doors while the boot was open, very strange indeed..
Door switches are part of the door actuator/latch assembly.

Well the problem came back again earlier, went for another drive and the door light stayed on. Beeped 5 times again when locking but it stayed locked which was the main thing. That was about 2 hours ago. I just now went to go and disconnect the battery and show my mate the issue and it was back to normal again.. pfft, random annoying thing.
