If the abs doesn't stay on then it's just doing a test on startup most cars do it on initial startup if it's not common then look at replacing the abs module and see what happens after that but if it was a major problem the warning lights would stay on

I would get that checked out... At the end of the day i am sure safety is more important than what Holden would charge you to sort it out..

Various reasons why this happens, first step is to get the trouble codes read to get an isea of what the issue is.

many reasons for this fault as I have learn't from Holden as they kept failing to diagnose it correctly and ended up costing me and extra $500 to replace a battery and bluetooth module before the final fault, rear drivers side abs harness, was fixed by my local mechanic.

initially Holden say a low battery can be the cause, which is true, but dont let Holden go on a fix by part replacement guessing process as I did.

as Ricey advised first thing is to get the codes read which can be done yourself using ebay to source an OBDII reader or go to a local mechanic and pay about half the price of Holden.

On an average, i get 'em less than every 5000 klms, each time, supposedly it's been a wheel sensor, i've done one lap of the wheels, and now i'm on to the second wheel in the second lap in less than 25,000 klms, gets a bit annoying after a while where i generally just "reset" and keep driving, after all, who needs that crap anyway?

On the rears theres an issue where debris builds up on the face of the wheel bearing. Because the speed sensor reads off this face the debris causes errors. The fix is to clean the debris off but unfortunately you cant get at the face without removing the drive shaft and a lot of times when you remove the driveshaft the bearing seperates and requires replacing. Poorly designed unfortunately.

Who needs what crap? The speed sensors? Well ABS and stabilty need them, and while the issue is there neither will operate.
