Hello, Just wondering if anyone has found a fix or is experiencing the same problems as me.
I own a ve omega 2006. It has been lowered with super super low king springs, sports exhaust and a custom air pod filter.
When i drive, the traction control turns on and off ever 1-2 minutes, it varies everytime may be longer or shorter. Anyway its getting to the point i cant drive it anymore,
I have taken it to holden they cleared the computer and handed it back saying it was fixed but it still does it.
Any ideas?

PS my check engine light is also on
Yeah software update fixed mine.
Wasn't free though, cost me an extra $50 with the service.
It's the car's way of telling you that you made a mistake.
An omega? That must look badass...

The car has been back there 3 times if i take it back again it will be the forth. They have told me that they have tried upgrading the software, resseting the ecu, aligning something near the brakes (cant remember what it was exactly) and the problem just comes back after a few hours
What are you getting at, mate?
Not everyone has the cash to splurge on a top of the range vehicle.
Maybe he's saving for something else like a house or something. Or maybe he has kids and doesn't have alot of money nowadays.
Mind your own business and help out, or just dont bother contributing.

- UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
- OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear.
- HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
- TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.
Take it to another dealer, the one youre using obviously doesnt have any intelligent technicians.

I agree, leave him alone. Either help out or shut up.
BTW I used to have an 06 omega, I had no end of electrical problem, upgraded software at Holden a number of times also. They changed the 02 sensors and cat on one of the exhaust banks to solve the engine light problem. (4 dealer visits)
Also had a problem with steering wheel controls not working from time too time, ended up replacing the stereo unit under warranty. (3 dealer visits)
Up until the day I sold it there where random times where the h vac and stereo wouldn't work on startup. I found disconnecting the battery for a minute would get the AC and stereo going again if it was taking too many goes to fix itself (or if it was 35 degrees outside), not sure if that's a good idea though as I was worried it could erase any software upgrades. It Worked fine untill I sold it. This problem was mentioned to the dealers at the first service, software upgrade didn't fix it and being intermittent it was hard to fault find.
Your not alone with VE electrical problems, I was lucky my car was new and under warranty or I wouldn't have been too happy paying for all the dealer visits.
Good luck and I hope they don't sting you too much!

i am havin the same problem with mine. sometimes the abs fault comes up on start up and stays till i turn it off. but other time it comes on and off a few times while im drive. the last 2 days ive felt what feels like a gear slipping in the brake peddel i no that sounds weird but i think its the abs coming on but only when im doing maybe 10kph and turning the steering wheel
Replaced the custom pod filter the guy before i had it put on the car to stock and fixed the problem, god knows how stability is anything to do with air intake.
Thanks for your help

Essential.

ABS and ECU all form part of stability control so any engine issues will result in stability being disabled.

So could an engine miss or bad coil trigger the stability control off warning ?
Yes.
