Hi guys I've searched this thread over and over and understand that some pepole don't like the factory navigation in their SSV, Calais, Caprice etc Was wondering if anybody would be willing too sell their's to me for a reasonable price?????
hi i have a vdo dayton ms5200hd listed on ebay to suit VE commodore but car must have a color screen poor me forked out a s***t load for it only to find it dont fit my Berlina
Yes - its crap - you're better to install aftermarket
Hahaha... Everyone says its crap, but NO-ONE who has one will be willing to sell it !!!
You will notice those that do have a factory Nav unit installed, with the colour LCD screen, are quite happy with the things....
(Anyone willing to prove me wrong, sell your factory Nav Unit !!!!!)
Keep in mind if you want ot buy one, you will need,
1) The Bluapunkt NAV-Unit locaed in the glove box...
2) The GM LAN to NAV Gateway module (located underneath the glove compartment)
3) The Sensis NAV DVD
4) The GPS Antenna (Located underneath the dash demist plastic)...
I have seen wreckers pulling only the Blau main unit out, and selling these only, (Not realising that you need at the very least the GM ALN to NAV Gateway module, which is easy to miss !!!!)
The complete set every once in a while goes for around $500 - $800 on ebay
Hope this helps..
Ok: i will clarify : I have the factory nav on my SSV colour screen - it's crap - you're better to install aftermarket. But I'm not gonna pull all the bits out to sell it
