OMG!!! for the first time ever i'm happy for ford...thankyou ford forum.

Looks nice, the door handles look pretty similar to the VZ ones, just more angular and those buttons between the power windows and shifter look interesting. just one wierd thing...the handbrake looks strange...like really fat...

    Sweet either way!!!

i agree gear lever is digusting!!! thats the lowest spec commy as its only got the 4 speeder. I seriously hope the gear lever is changed for all the other models coz that is really revolting!! i'd prefer the vz jobbie over that! the colour is killa though. shits all over the red hot that they used to hav. mettalics over plains any day!!!

With the wood grain in the dash, I think its more of a Berlina spec model and nowhere do those pictures prove its a 4 speed.

man look at the amount of icons on the gear selector, P..R.N.D.1.2.3...there's only 7 selections...so unless they removed N or something, that's a 4-speed.

When will holden learn that no one wants a cruddy 4-speed!!!...my car is 11years old and has a 4-speed!!!

It is almost identical to the torana dash only a few differences over all.
I thought that piano black plastic was the new woodgrain i think the wood grain strip would look a bit better with the black instead.
I dont like the way it is all a little to flat round the shifter and window switches theres no grooves no curves just all flat and rather boring.
Shifter is too similar to the falcon and i am hoping that they dump that 4 speed box the car will be held back if they cant provide a better gearbox to match the alloytec.
    Just my thoughts

A 5 speed wont naturally have P.R.N.D.4.3.2.1 on it. I do think the base model might still have the 4 speed though. It just doesnt look like a base model with the woodgrain.

Woodgrain + about 300000 steering wheel controls says it isn't base.... maybe berlina since it's lacking the chrome on the outside

I might be the only one that likes the handbrake, Think about it when it's down it doesn't sit there in the way and look ugly like the old models before the VT. And it doesn't sit on your leg like VT on wards, When it's down it fits right in like the left side pretty good i think.

It'll look neat when down... match the "oh shit" bar on the other side...

But it does look weird up...

The 5spd auto in the vz has P..R.N.D.4.3.L (either L or 2 but i cant remember)......

Interior looks generally good. Obviously its a berlina interior, as the outside only has chrome around the window whereas the calais has chrome elsewhere.

That's the most K-radical handbrake I've ever seen , looks like that's the executive or something mid range, strange woodgrain insert on the dash too, looks a bit out of place

Dude have you seen VZ door handles before? VZ door handles are flush, from that pic it looks like they are quite large and raised. Infact, they look nothing alike.

See the interior is like the Torana concept.

    1. CD Player/Display screen
    2. Stereo controls
    3. AC/Climate Control
    4. Hand grips/storage bins?
    5. power window controls
    6. Steering wheel
    7. Overal dash shape and profile

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the interior door handles since we're talking about the interior.
