Where are all the speakers?

According to Holden, the new Calais V has 11 speakers. We can only locate 9.

1 Located in the top of the dash in the middle. (Subwoofer?????)
2 Smaller tweeters on both corners of the dash.
2 on the front doors.
2 on the back doors.
2 on the parcel shelf.

But we dont know where the other 2 are located. Does anyone know?

isnt there 3 on the parcel shelf,
and maybe the radio facia panel, the front park assist noise comes from there,maybe they include that,

From what ive heard there is a speaker (or possibly 2 ) in the roof, not sure were though.

are any of the speakers 3 way? do they have a tweeter in the middle. theyd probably count that as two speakers instead of one

There's no way that one in the dash would be a sub. It'd just be a centre speaker.

It sounds to me like there should also be a couple of subs somewhere. Have you looked properly in the boot? Are you sure there's only two speakers in the parcel shelf?

I think the easiest way to find out would be to use the faders and balance and and listen to where the sounds are coming from.
I think it goes
-2 in dash tweeters
-1 center dash speaker
-2 in the front doors
-2 in the rear doors
- 2 in the dash
- 2 in either the boot or the roof

Yep thats what i meant i heard that there were speakers in the roof (wasn't sure if it was right or not)But i did mean subs in the boot

2 in dash tweeters

and 2in the roof mounted sunnies holder(also where bluetooth microphone is)

Yeah thats what im meaning, thats what the dealer told us when we asked where they all are, at a guess maybe they could be a couple more tweeters? I have seen speakers that small before so its hard to say whether they are or not, the only real way would be to pull the interior apart to find out.

To give an idea, yes it's an older model but my 10 speakers in my Calais goes like this..

2 tweeters in dash
2 in front doors (these speakers have a seperate tweeter so there's your other 2 I don't class them as the same but Holden says otherwise)
2 in rear doors
2 subs in rear parcel shelf

Speaking of Speakers.. out of the 7 speaker 80 Watt system that comes with the SV6 and SS, would it be worth changing the speakers for aftermarket ones without a sub? Would u get better sound out of it do you think?

I assume you're talking about the VE?

I'd say yes definitely. If the speakers in the VY / VZ are anything to go by, they are total rubbish. I have also read a thread on here somewhere where they reckon the VE speakers are a bit better, but still average...

Sorry mate, yes I am talking about VE. Alright I will look into the speakers, I imagine you wouldn't be able to put bigger speakers in where the old ones were.

This may help for reference to speaker size. I'd send KAL SPL a private message about the exact speaker sizes, etc...
