Yeh thats all the Walkinshaw performance cars are.
They are just add on performance mods. They do the bonnet, exhaust, supercharging etc. go check out the website.
I saw one today, they look better in the flesh than in the pics
they're not known as a walky, you can buy the kit off walkinshaw performance and have it fitted to a standard ve commodore.

But it was released in celebrate 20 years of HSV, and released exactly 20 years after the VL walky and the first release shown at the Melbourne Motor Show was painted in Panorama Siver, the same colour as the original VL Walky. The original VL Walky was released at the 1988 Melbourne Motor Show (W427 at the 2008 Melbourne Motor Show).
It's a bit obnoxious for the owner of HSV to devote the companies flagship car to himself. It doesn't mention anything on the HSV website or in their media stuff.
Either way. HSV never called the Walky what it is, it was a common nickname given to the cars by owners or fans. The original 'walky' is a VL Group A SS according to any HSV facts.
Not that i care either way, but someone along the lines, they've put the W there, which refers to Walkinshaw.
