Drive it around a while before you get the tune, because then when you get the tune you will appreciate the tune more and the difference that it makes.

    Long wait!!!

Ye a tune after a 1000k should be OK, even though they have a lot of power anyways.

1000km is before the oil change and nut n bolt check from Holden. I'd personally wait until after the 15,000 service for a tune. That's less than a year.

Why not do the tune straight away? Hundreds of people do it, never have an issue. Gawd, people are buying a new HSV, having them towed straight to the workshop and fitted with Turbo setups/charger setups.

The only part of the car that will be void on the warranty is the PCM, they cannot by law void any other part.

Each to their own. I'd wait a while... Just in case anything niggling turned up that required warranty work. Cause when Holden see mods they get their backs up - even if the mods have nothing to do with the warranty work that needs doing.

I know of a guy that had a knock in the steering and as soon as Holden service saw it was lowered they tried to wash their hands of the problem. Turned out in the end after the dude got the area Holden rep in but a pain in the arse!

I know if I had a HSV, I'd be happy with it stock for a while

i had a whole steering column replaced under warrenty in my ute despite the fact it was lowered. i am also getting the air con condenser replace even though the whole front end was proper-fugged in an accident and the condenser was replaced.

either they dont care, or are really stupid!

I know how you feel with the waiting game. We just bought a new Dual Cab SR Hilux. No black ones on the floor so we have to wait until about early march too.

nice choice of car mate.. one small question though, Why did you choose to wait for a white one? Do you like the white ones? Not saying its a bad thing but I would have picked black

i wouldn't thrash it out straight away either. Let her settle in and you settle into her as well. She's got a massive V8. It'll run hard mate. Have fun with it.

White will be a real head turner - you don't see many around. (I don't, anyway.)

I can't believe you have to wait 'till march, though. I wouldn't be able to sleep for three months

lol, once you have had modded cars, 300kw is nothing. Its actually too slow lol. So you need to decide do you stick with stock forever, or do you take on further mods, if you take the latter, get used to emptying your wallet frequently!!

Ok this only my opinion, but from all the White VE HSV's i have seen they look cheap. Every second man and his dog has white ones around here(HSV need to go back to expensive limited builds to get the prestige back, anyway thats a whole new thread).

But its your car so enjoy it
