Default VE Coupe for Melbourne Motor show

For the last few days I've been on a mission to find out what the new car Holden are bringing to the show is after I learned it's name was "Coupe-60". Then people started comming out of the woods with infos.

    It's a Chrome/Silver VE coupe, 4 seater.
Big front spoiler, vents in the front gaurds, scalloped doors, 2 side dumper exhausts in front of each rear wheel. Boot lid spoiler. Leather covered almost pure race seats, a motecish race dash. It also runs an E85 ethanol engine like the Wagon concept. By all accounts it's a stunning bit of car

Still woulda liked a new Holden Hurricane or GTR-X Torana... But looking forward to seein this Coupe 60.

Good to see Holden steal Fords new falcon thunder twice in a row with a coupe

Wasn't it confirmed that there was no coupe for the motor show?

    Pics or link to source?

Dunno.... I know there is a VE/Camaro mule running about. Hadn't heard anything about a show car but it could be a design exercise that they put out there to test concepts a-la Torana etc....

It's real Reaper, I've heard it straight from people that have seen/building the car, Feb 29th is the motorshow. They want to take the spotlight off that Falcon as that will be the official Falcon launch. I have pictures not of the car but proof it exsists but I cant post them. You'll just have to have faith

Just got a copy of Motor Magazine and they are hinting at something special from Holden for the show but weren't saying what. Would be like deja-vu though - didn't the Monaro concept take all the focus away from the BA launch when it was at the show?

Yep, it was the same trick last time, but this car sounds alot more special than the Monaro. Bob Lutz was saying a couple months ago that the car for the motor show is all the way good. So there's been alot of wondering about what it was since then

Do you think the coupe-60 is a prototype for a HSV only coupe?!, Holden would never got to that effort just for HSV to sell 100 of them

Typical holden show stopping concept to **** off Ford.

But they might need to build it if people get excited to much. Funny how Holden builds Concepts then everyone wants it then GM has no other choice but to let them build it.

Aparantly Holden have something **** hot to unveil as a production car. There is also a design exercise that won't go into production (a-la Effigy). CAFE regs and the Camaro have killed any chance of a Monaro in the near future. Australia is getting the Camaro.

The Camaro is awesome! As soon as they're confirmed available by my dealer, I'm putting an order in. For a yellow one of course

Funny how people are willing to pay 150k for a HK Monaro now. Holden would make a killing if they pressed that body out and stuck some side intrusion bars in the doors and droped a 6 litre in it :P

    They'd make 250k.
