Varex for VE
X-Force have finalised development on the Varex muffler for the VE.
They have a remote control that allow you to open or close a butterfly in each muffler for full noise, or quieter than factory!!! Not sure how much but I think around $300 each.
For detailed info on how the work, check the X-Force website: XForce - Performance Exhaust Systems

On your keyring? Anywhere you want... It's wireless!
It comes with a cigarette lighter power setup but can be easily wired up permanently by an Auto Electritian I would imagine.
Watch the demo: YouTube - Varex remote control muffler.

Mate to get a defect for being too loud, they have to hear you, then pull you over, get out the decibel measuring thing they use and measure 50cm at a 45 degree angle from the exhaust tip and get you to rev to 4500rpm.
If you can't close the butterly (i.e. press a button for 2 seconds) somewhere between them hearing you and getting you to rev to 4500rpm, you deserve to be defected
lol

Never mind that Having a Butterfly Valve in your Exhaust is a defect.

so does the Captiva, BUT it cannot be activated manually.
i think you will find it states pretty clearly in the roadworthy regs that any sort of exhaust bypass isnt legal

The Varex system does NOT bypass exhaust.

lloking at the shape of it any one ale to look up the inside far enough to get a look at the butterfly on the inside must be able to see around corners. its not llike a rex cannon where u get a straight view though it.
now a question about it, is it either open or closed or can it be half open etc?
