Default advice on a good price for an ve sv6 ute

hello all
I am currently in the process of purchasing a new sv6 ute (maybe 60th edition) and could use all the help possible, especially on what sort of price i should be paying. Am about to get an abn which am not totally sure how it helps. Also keen to find out if i will get 100% of the gst back on the car. Last quiery, looking at buying a ladder rack and wondering if it would be better to go some where else to get it.
All help appreciated

Try and get in over the next few days, they are usually pressured to clear stock at the End of Financial year, start of the year, and end of the year.

Start going to one dealer and hammer your way down between two. I got mine for about 37,500 on-road in Feb, managed to hammer the price down on a Dec MY07, and then get them to match it on a Feb MY08.

I'm just looking at a brochure from Preston Motoros Essendon (Melb). They have the following cars, might give you an idea of prices i'm not sure.
- Special Edition 60th Anniversary SV6 ute for $36,990 + dealer delivery and govt charges.. comes with the following extras (since 60th anniversary): onyx leather appointed seats, 6 disc and mp3 compatible cd player, bluetooth, sports steering wheel, alloy foot pedals, 60th anniversary mats and rear badge.
- There is also an ex-demo SS ute (1000kms) for $37,990 + dealer delivery and govt charges.

sounds like a great price so just to make sure i got it right, you paid 37,000 for sv6 ute standard colour with a hard top and mats on road. If this is correct please let me know the dealer who you got this from.
