ve on gas

Hi Guys,
My old man bought an omega 2007 and got holden to put that new gas system on. He enquired and was told they had done it on several ve's with no probs. If so then why does holden come out with a factory omega on gas. Do you know of any future probs in what he has done. Also he was told the system can be abit noisy. He hasn't taken the car back for it 1000km adjustment on the gas, but behind the steering wheel it sounds pretty noisy, like a diesel car.
Any comments much appreciated.

They obviously have mounted the injectors in a way that it reverberates throught the car.
The injectors can be insulated from the brakets with rubber washers and the mounts cam be insulated too. This goes a long way to shutting the noise up.

The VE 6 isnt a quiet engine to begin with, on petrol or gas. As stated above, get the mountings checked out, but if you can, take out a non gas omega and give it a bit of a drive and see if its just the engine being its noisy self, before you start getting people to diagnose non-existant faults
