Just make backups of the original disc that you own, most programs remove the region coding anyway.
Regarding the front screen playing when driving,it's not only illegal,it's also very distracting when driving.I have mine connected to the handbrake switch for this reason, and suggest that you keep your eyes on the road when driving too

Dunno about the region issue but you can relatively easily modify the screen to be on while the vehcle is in motion. I made a post about it, let me find it.

If you use a program called DVD Shrink 3.2, make a single layer copy of the movie you want for the car and this copying process will remove the region coding.

I left my car with a car multi media expert for 3 days ... they even got in VDO's top engineer. What they discovered it CANBUS comms system that is used in the car will detect any mods to security or safety and car won't even start.

Then there is the other issue... if they do crack it.... and you have a prang while it is playing and kill someone ... they are in all sorts of doggy do do.

well if they don't make you sign a contract taking no responsibility for your actions, than they are dumb asses and that is probably why they have not cracked it yet.

....'to modify while driving...'

Don't be stupid. It's not only dangerous and distracting for other drivers but also illegal. In the event of a 'collision' you would have increased liabilities with both the law and insurance company.

I wish they would make it so it would turn on automatically when the car speed reaches zero, so at least you can see it when you stop at busy lights and don't have to put the handbrake on each time.

Don't have to with my SSV. As soon as the car goes below a certain speed it kicks in again

There have been many similar posts.
You can use the rear AUX input (which is actually some specific Holden cabling if you don't already have a DVD installed) and any AV input should work.
You can have the screen on up to about 3km/h, after that it will switch off.
There is a group in Melbourne who can program it to remain on, refer to CSP's post.
I have installed a TV tuner, and can listen to TV while I am driving but only view it at traffic lights or when stopped (such as when waiting for someone etc) It's pretty cool but i haven't taken the step to have it on all the time. I also installed a reverse camera which works well and i can switch between TV and camera
