revision to software for rear DVD

Hi folks

took my SSV in for it's 15000 service, one of the things they had to do was a revision/upgrade the software on the rear TV/DVD.

Anyone know what it is?

I had the flat battery problem in my VE because of the DVD player (apparently). Supposedly the upgrade fixes the issue to ensure it does turn off when the ignition is off

The new software for the rear seat entertainment (RSE) is to fix a problem where the RSE can stay in "Programming mode" after flash programming or clearing DTCs.Staying in this mode will flatten the battery over time.

Previously the RSE fuse had to be removed after programming or clearing codes to reset the RSE.

Sorry i couldn't tell you that it removes the region coding or something exciting like that,but your car will be more reliable now.

I just wish it would play avi's and divX... not that I would be downloading my kids movies as bit torrents or anything... well... then again!!
