Default Quick question

Hey guys, quick question. Will a VE SS grill fit on a Omega? Anyone tried?

Might try it. If not I'll just sell it I reckon. Any one got an SS that can measure the gap in the centre for me? Bonnet to bumper.

Just had a quick look on ebay, they are all chev grills but they would be the same shape as a Holden one.

They state "Chev VE Holden Commodore SS/SSV/SV6 Grille Sedan Ute"

In the ads it doesn’t say it wont fit a omega but it doesn’t say it will either.

I would say it should fit. The same bonnet is used and same shape and dimension headlights so the gap should be the same. Its just wether the omega front bar has the provision for the SS grill would be your major concern. Maybe that’s why in the ebay ads they say "SV6" because that has the same front bar as the SS

i think they have extra locating pins, and the shape might be slightly different around the bottom.

They don't fit... have seen grilles for sale on ebay where person is selling because they bought a Chev SS grille and it didn't fit their omega.

Also note that all grilles for sale specifically say for SS, SSV & SV6 OR for Omega & Berlina.

Just go to ebay and do a search for Ve Grille.

From what I can gather it is due to the different contour of the bumper.

Ok reviving an old thread here. The SS grille will fit on an omega. Modifications are needed for it to fit but its easy enough. Basically cut off all the locating pins and the ones on the top edges too. It will fit and hold on at the top with the standard plugs. Just devise your own way of securing it to the bumper which we have done and your set. The shape of it is also the same as an omega grille.
