Default VE SV6 with 83,000k's

Good evening all, i was originally in the market to buy a VZ SV6 and i still am, however i spotted this VE SV6 and in negotiations i got the dealer to consider selling it for $21,000..it has done some k's, and they are mostly country miles (the car is located in the country)

Do you think this would be a good deal? It's a late '06 model..any help would be much appreciated-cheers fellas!

83,000 km in less than 2 years equates to at least 800 km per week EVERY week (average).I'd say it has probably had a pretty hard life.

id buy it, km's dont mean alot these days (well it does but not as much as it used to), the good thing about this is that the engine would be in good nick, if its doing 800km a week obviously it been running at normal operating temp longer periods than short driving

ive done 90,000km services on ve's and there no different to when they ran off the production line

as long as it been serviced correctly, go for it,

$21K for a VE SV6 sounds like a bargain even if its done 83,000km! I wonder what the dealer paid for it?

Nah it was in Ballarat or thereabouts...i decided not to call back incase he said he'd definitely go for 21k coz then i'd buy it, ive decided to stick with the VZ and save some coin. The VZ looks much nicer in the flesh i think..

Cheers for the help fellas!

No problems, just Colin Watson are having a sell out of VE's atm for 19-20 grand mark, and was going to highly recommend them.

Agreed the VZ looks nicer then a VE, but can i say that in the VE section haha.

the ve with the updated alloytec is a better idea imo. vz's have the cam gear and chain issues which was resolved in the ve by slightly changing the gear tooth and chain design.
