Default Will the wagon increase the VE market share?

What do you think? Holden said that they were selling 800 to 900 VZ wagons per month. Since they stopped production of the VZ, sales have held around 4,000 to 4,500 VE's per month.

Will the wagon add to that figure, or simply sell to buyers instead of the sedan?

Don't forget the fleet market, all Holden needs is a few sales of the wagon per month to really screw the corolla *cough **** cough* for sales.

The new commodore wagon won't suit the fleet market as much as the VZ wagon.

A lot of fleets are going for the light commercial vans on gas since so many of them now drive like cars. Or Ford Territorys.

our work is buying more commo wagons and reducing on the territories because of there high fuel consumption.

i think they will sell quite well cause the falcon wagon isnt really in the market, there old design (back to the au), loud diff and gearbox whine, and saggy rear end when loaded up, and generally isnt that pleasing on the eye

on a side note the one of the ve wagons work got was an evoke painted

options
tow bar
roof racks
cargo barrier
head light & bonnet protector
mud flaps


and the price is less than 30,000 > i wish i could buy the cars tax free.

Holden will lose their market share for the fleet market due to the reasons noted above as well as the fact the cargo area is very reduced and due to the low height of the roof means higher loads are also out, so by holden getting rid of the load lugger image they have actually gotten rid of the load lugger.
I'm not confident that the wagon will get its own market share without cannibalizing the sedan sales to some extent.
By making the car attractive they have actually gone for the SUV market in a way but it again is wagon.
I personally like it but if I was after something for a family I find a sedan is adequate and if I was after something that I could carry loads in I would prob just go for the VZ wagon.
Hopefully I'm wrong cause I would love to see it succeed and even see it start a bit of a new trend but I have a feeling we wont see a wagon come the next generation commodore.
