hey ppl just some probs with my clubsport let me know what you think cheers. My dealer is going to rectify, Dont know how well. They said some
of the probs i have they havent herd of .

HSV Clubsport R8 2008

1 Door trims front, left and right hand side have defects and right hand side has a rattle.

2 Window tint on back left hand side window has a defect.

3 On the dash were the fog lamp switch is, it’s very loose and can move up and down.

4 On the window control panel there is a big gap between the panel and the drink holders.

5 In the steering wheel when you turn right there is a click in the column.

6 The ESP button got stuck off and would not come back on.

7 The LCD screens in the dash glitches, goes bright white then off and then came back on.

8 The fuel cap door dose not open propley it gets stuck and it’s tight.

9 The gear stick has a really bad shake when you are driving also felt through the rear end. The car is unable to be driven.

Same on mine. Fixed under warranty. The plastic cup holder component warped. It's plastic, sometimes it warps... It's fixed for free now.

Same on mine. Entire steering column replaced under warranty.

Once in a while every triple window trip computer does that. It can't be fixed because it's a problem with the electrical system in the car. Happens so rarely and so quickly that hardly anyone notices - not worth caring about IMHO.

Mate that's a pretty rough deal

Is there any chance of telling us the actual build date? Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr??

my bosses commodore had a slightly different shade of paint on one panel, and the sun roof leaked from new.

I don't know why people would ever buy a commodore considering their quality, or lack there of.

edit: oh, and he pretty much hates the car now, says it feels like he bought it from K-Mart.

None of it surprises me. When I bought my glorified Calais (senator) this time last year, I didn't expect all the problems either.

First thing, ignore the fact that it's an HSV. The price tag provided no advantage in terms of build quality or finish. I realised this after I bought it.

Second, don't let the dealers dick you around. I've been to three now because they're mostly buck-passers.

Hey mate, have you solved ur problem No.6, I am curious 'coz I have same problem (VE SS), obviously this thing happens only sometimes and 'coz of this they can't fixe it or trace any problems at the software
