Dumb question - how do you get to the battery?
I know this is a dumb question, but my Dad wanted me to ask here, since it doesn't say in the manual. How do you go about removing the boot trim to get to the battery? I know there's that little access panel, but I think you'd need to remove more than that to fully get to the battery. All the manual says is "For battery replacement, go to your Holden dealer".
And yes, I KNOW that it takes a special calcium-based battery, i'm only asking just out of sheer curiousity.
Thanks in advance

HAHA - funny you mention that, I was looking at mine the other day and just scratched my head and thought "oh well, shouldn't have to worry about that for a couple of years."

just simply remove the plastic clips holding the boot liner on, then pull it out of the car, simple if you ask me,

in the boot near where the boot lid closes there is that plastic thing with 4 little hook things in all the corners where you can hook ur cargo net thing on..
unscrew them and pull it straight up (dont be alarmed coz the thing sounds like ur breaking the plastic) but its just clips.. once you got that off you can pull the fur thing out from under the rubber seal and peel it back round to ur battery.. and then you got full access to it!! also just to mention there is an amp hidden there for the CD player.. adjust the gains on it n get better sound from it

Awesome, thanks. Yeah, I know about the hidden amp in the VE - does the Berlina have that? i thought it was just the Calais/Calais V. I'll have to have a look when I get a chance.

exactly how to do it....but forgot there is a clip just behind the taillight that holds the trim up but its easy to pop off
not ALL VEs have the amp...only the systems with a subwoofer...HSV, SSV, Calais V
