I'd say he's asking about how he'd go about upgrading to a better trans. He's from Saudi Arabia, give him a break.
Anyway, what way do you want to go? I can't see any reason as to why with a bit of work (you'd probably have to replace or flash the ECU, and replace the dash piece, and do a few other things) you couldn't upgrade to any of the other trannys that can be optioned on the VE SS, such as the 5 speed tiptronic auto, or the 6 speed manual.

It's the trans. guys, the VE SS don't even come with 4-speed (check Holden site) , but GM ****ed us
it was either this or the 6-speed manual (which was not an option for me then)
could it be changed to a 6-speed auto or manual ?
how hard will it be ? just swap bolt on or ... ?
the 4-speed is not only stupid at shifting, I have **** fuel economy too ...

A mate of mine just got back from a business trip to Dubai. He went on a Safari tour in a Toyota Landcruiser. The driver stopped to fill up. 85 litres, wait for it, the equivalent of $3AUD
Yup - $3 for 85 litres... 
They also have no demirt point system at all and no Police pull anyone over for speeding because it "is an inconvenience to the passing traffic". Pass a fixed speed camera and get a $20AUD fine in the mail. That's it.

I know I know fuel IS cheap here .... but I'm a student ... I need to save every pinny !
FYI, fuel in Dubai a LOT more expensive then here

In ME the VE commodore ss ( Lumina SS ) model year 07 and 08 comes with 4speed auto trans. ( 4L65E ) M32. But 09 comes with 6 speed auto ( 6L80E ) MYC.

I thought I would use this one until it fall apart, fix it, sell it, install the 6-speed manual (M6)
I did it to my other car, but didn't install manual
