Default VE CAN Bus System

Not to happy with my new car, jumped in this morning to go down the road and i get ABS Check and Brake failure flashing on the dash, tried to start but that didnt happen.
just had my new ve berlina tilt trayed from my house back to the dealer, called road side assistance and he had a look around the car, then grabs a booklet from his ute and start playing around under my steering column. tells me the problem has something to do with this "CAN Bus" system. The main computer is not receiving information from the body control module.
I've had the car 4 days. thank got for warranty, sounds expensive to fix.

Muzza89,

I just got my car back today. It has been off the road for 8 days, but the ABS fault was only 1 of about 15 issues they had to fix.

In the end it was a faulty wiring loom and/or wheel sensor. Known Holden issue.

I will post the techline number tomorrow. They gave me the PDF of it.

In other news, when I got the car back it was washed and fully detailed. I wonder if it has been in an accident.

so they fixed your car and washed it and you still need to cast aspersions on the dealer "I wonder if it has been in an accident." What a positive outlook you have.

thank god someone has a brain. Next you will be wondering why the dealer refuses to deal with you any more. Do you really think they don't look at these forums

With the amount of issues he has had with his senator, he has every right to say what he wants.

of course anyone can say what they want, that’s the whole idea of forums but to imply the vehicle was damaged just because the dealer took the EXTRA step to wash it is disappointing.
