it is a blank, can be removed and a light fitted there! usually only on hi spec models.

They still do that in the VE

.. Look on ebay, Don't know if it's the same, But they have the lights there for the VT-VZ models.

Might have the VE one?.

There is a kit often advertised on e-bay for about $40. I decided to see what the items cost separately from my local dealer. $15, all up, trade price, with the exception of the globe, which I already have.

Incidentally, for some reason, the kit came with two wiring looms. They are identical, so I'm blowed if I know how they came to package two in the one plastic bag. The wiring loom is about the only specific part you need to obtain to make this installation, as the switch and lamp are idential to those used for the glove box light.
