i did a service on a ss with 275 and the tyre was sitting at guard level, didnt appear to have been rolled
Has anyone lowered a VE with 275 rear tyres? I'm getting the Statesman done soon and wanted to know cos if the guards need rolling as I want to get it done before it's lowered. I'm only going about 45-50mm in the rear if that helps.

R8's and gts's have a 57p rear offset , most aftermarket wheels are only 45p offset.
I have 275's on the back of mine, with the bigger offset as per the HSV's and they still don't rub.
In fact, it looks like you could even go a bit wider without them rubbing...

So it is quite possible to fit larger tyres in the rears.
Was thinking of putting 10" rims on the rear of my SV6 with maybe 310 tread.
I've been told I should be able to fir 295s under the arse![]()
