Default Guards rolled with 275 rear tyres?

Has anyone lowered a VE with 275 rear tyres? I'm getting the Statesman done soon and wanted to know cos if the guards need rolling as I want to get it done before it's lowered. I'm only going about 45-50mm in the rear if that helps.

don't the R8's and gts's come with 275 on the rear stock?? i know that they are hardly dumped but holden still have to allow for you to have people in the back and a packed boot so i can't see there being a problem i've heard of people running 310 on the rear of the gts's i'd imagine they are rolled.

R8's and gts's have a 57p rear offset , most aftermarket wheels are only 45p offset.

I have 275's on the back of mine, with the bigger offset as per the HSV's and they still don't rub.
In fact, it looks like you could even go a bit wider without them rubbing...

So it is quite possible to fit larger tyres in the rears.

Was thinking of putting 10" rims on the rear of my SV6 with maybe 310 tread.

10" rims is definitely possible - there's a guy here with a Calais V who's done it. 310 tread sounds a bit wide for 10" wide rims though...

    Yeah, I see.

Will definately go the 10" rim for rear and maybe 8.5-9" for front.

With the rears, I will be going as wide tyre as I can

I'm trying to get the stance of the picture provided so will have to find a rim with a fairly high offset.
