hey, very nice car mate, if you dont mind how much did the clutch set you back? i think im in need of an upgrade and also can you put some photos of the brakes up i like the sounds of the slotted rotors might also get that done on my sv6

i'll get some photos of the brakes up for yas. my GF lost the camera cable though.

Clutch kit will set you back about $1515 + fitting i managed to source one for $1200 + $400 fitting. Castle Hill Exhaust now do one for about $1700 fitted that they've pieced together themselves they will probably supply it to you and you can have it fitted else where.

the problem with the sv6 is the hole clutch assy has to be replaced. you can go for just a clutch plate and pressure plate but the dual mass flywheel is the main issue with the stuck clutch system they fail if you abuse them to much and when they fail it's tilt tray home. not like a worn clutch you can baby around when the DMF fails you get zero power transfer from the engine to the gearbox.

built april 08 is early my09. i think they changed to the large 1 peice cover with my09.5. i'd run the motor with no engine covers but the alloytec sounds aweful without engine covers t have a very noisey top end with all those valves. they sound like diesels without the engine covers. but i don't like all the heat they trap around the ignition coils.
