also mate, is your CAI sitting on the radiator?? Careful that its not, over awhile the heat will eventually burn through the aluminum, i noticed before it was too late. Ive got the same system as you.

    i painted the badges by:
sanding the plastic a little bit, using 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper
sprayed on some primer for plastics
then did 5 coats of paint (touch up car paint in a can from repco to match my car colour)
then did 5 coats of clear

i did the exact same thing for my car interior dash stripes..
thanks for the tip, ill check to see that my cai isnt leaning on my radiator!

ok dude sweet, I get it, but whats 5 coats of clear??

Also man, have you thought about maybe colouring in the silver bit on the front grill? I reckon if it was black it would stick out more??

clear is top coat protector, which stops the paint from coming off, and if you want that nice shine to it. its wise to use it i havent thought about painting the chrome part of the grille yet, only because somewhere down the line im hopin to eventually put on a hsv front bar.

some one has a new box of speakers in their passenger footwell?? lol

nice ride, especially for a P plater mate. i hope you take care of it (looks like you do) and don't flog her to try and prove anything to your mates...

Thought about painting the trims inside the steering wheel? seen as how you've got coloured seats, and painted your dash strips?

btw: sorry, don't like the Chev badges, but each to their own...

Car looks sweet and I like the dash highlights.. subtle yet effective. Were they hard to remove?

they werent hard to remove at all, just a few clips were a bit tough like the one right behind the steering wheel column but other than that pretty easy.

Hmm, I might have to look into painting mine silver because the fake wood grain ones in the Statesman look disgusting . I've been checking eBay all the time for some Caprice ones but they haven't come up.
