how do you find the 3L??
I looked at getting one the other week but those leasther seats put me off. got a captiva lx diesel instead...
thanks guys.
kit delivered as is not aftermarket. they wired it all up with the factory foglight switch (headlight switch pulls out for foggies and dash light comes on), so I assume factory fitted.
loving the 3L.
that was my biggest worry when deciding to buy... didnt think it would be enough. specs wise, it's pretty much the same as the old 3.6L except that now with the new 6 speed it really does respond very well. overtaking with aircon on isnt an issue! havent pushed it too hard yet though... still under 1000km. will report on it later.
because of delay in delivery, dealer gave me an sv6 to play with for a week ('old' ve model 3.6L with 4speed), and I honestly think the new SIDI 3L with 6speed kicks the crap out of it! off the line and also on the road at speed. much more responsive and feels like you got more horses to play with- when obviously you dont.
oh- and nothing wrong with the leather man. ok, it's not mercedes benz leather... but still better than cloth!
fair enough, cant comment on the auto's in the omega's, but the manual was fair decent i think. Glad your happy with it, looks really sexy, planning on mods? Supersports fit the sand colour nicely
woah im loving that colour looks mint
the dealer didn't give you an sv6 if it was a 4speed.

Very nice car, those wheels suit very well also.
Cheers.
I only have one question, why Eleanor? There is only one Eleanor in my books and it's not a Holden....
Other than that, nice car.
I completely agree mate
And you've hit the nail on the head.
My dream is to one day build my own Eleanor (exactly like the movie one)... and then put these plates on it.
It'll be a 67 Fastback, but I can't afford a real GT500 so it'll be a clone. And besides, it would be a waste of code numbers not restoring exactly like an original anyway. Plus it lets me do what I want underneath.
I got these plates pretty much the same time the movie came out.
After walking out of the cinema with jeans that seemed very much tighter than when I walked in, I knew I wanted Eleanor... bad. Without doubt the most sexiest car on the planet. Even though its a ford.
So the plates were in storage, and since I've been paying for them anyway- may as well pop them on the mrs wagon.
shes a shelby not a ford and im sticking to that lol
the real one is... but I could never afford one of them. I'll be doing the cheapy ford 'pretend' one.
but yes, a real eleanor is definitely absolutely 100% shelby.
......sigh, one day.
wow m8 what an amazing color i love it
THats not a bad wagon! Like the colour, easy to keep clean, Rims suit it nicely

Are the exhaust tips fitted just the optional chrome tips from the holden website, dealer fitted?
I bought a Evoke International yesterday and optioned the chrome tips, but have no idea what they look like
Cheers.
hey mate what springs do you have this sitting on
Good to see Holden still can't match the metalic colours on the plastic bumbers wiht the rest of the car. Also, tell whoever took the pics they're way too over-exposed.
Good to see you're still a smart ass!
UFO just a question or two on those springs.....are they a harder ride than the stock ones? Do you find that your gonna take out the front spoiler on gutters when ya park it? Do they bottom out? Approx cost all round? Would it make it even lower if wheels were stock 18s?
Cheers
Another comment on Eleanor, the original was actually a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang. The 2000 remake used a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500.
